Club Homes

Club homes were built by Pulte to be more affordable but lovely single family homes. Contray to rumors and the uninformed, they are not attached except for a concrete piece below the ground about the size of a two by 6. You will never see these cement pieces and they serve no purpose. There are no attched walls. All these pieces do is they allowed the builder to build more homes per acre. So, Club homes have slightly smaller lots and shorter driveways. In exchange, they are just as large as some homes built by Del Webb and they usually sell for $20,000 to $30,000 less. They are a bargain for a great home. I live in a Potomac model club home and I love it! There are three models of club homes in Sun City Huntley. These are the York, the James and the Potomac.

The Clovers were built by Del Webb between 1999 and 2002. They are arranged in a row (which makes for a more private entrance and look like town homes). Each building contains four units built on slabs.   All exterior home maintenance, lawn care and snow removal is provided by the association.

The Triplex I models are located in neighborhood 19 in Sun City Huntley. Each building contains three units that include two Dunham units on the ends and a Canton model in the middle. The Triplexes appeal to those who want the maintenance-free lifestyle with more elbow room than what is found in other attached home collections. The Triplex II models were built in 2004 after the completion of the Triplex I models. Price Range: Mid $100s – Low $200s

The popular Clubhomes in Sun City Huntley are commonly referred to as “detached duplexes”. These homes offer the look and feel of a single-family home but are priced more like a duplex. The unique design includes attached foundation footings underground but above ground there is six feet of space between the homes and there is no common wall. With options like front porches, brick facades and smaller homesites the Clubhome neighborhoods feel like small town America. In the final phase, Pulte/Del Webb changed the name of this model collection to Manors. The model names changed from York, James and Potomac to Haven, Journey and Serenity, respectively. The main changes were that they no longer attached the footings and offered more space between homes but the floor plans remained virtually the same. All Clubhomes and Manors are built on slabs. Later phases included options for sunrooms and extended garages.
